FAQs

Q: What should I do if I forget my Internet banking password?
A: Go to the Log In area and enter the same user ID you initially set up. When you get to the field where you must enter your password, click on the "Forget your password?" tab. You will then be asked to answer the two security questions you answered when you initially set your password. Once these questions are answered correctly you will be required to reset your password. If you are still having problems logging in, contact the bank for assistance.

Q: How do I email the bank?
A: For inquiries that include specific information such as account numbers, transfer requests, loan payment amounts, etc., log in to Internet banking, select Services, then click on Bank Mail. Sending or receiving mail from our Internet banking site ensures your email is safe by encrypting the information. For general questions, you may email us at questions@philobank.com.

Q: When a merchant says "credit or debit", what do I say?
A: Your Philo Exchange Bank debit card may be used either way, however, some stores will require you to use it a particular way. For example, at Walmart, it must be used as a debit card, while at Mobile Super Pantry, it must be used as a credit card.

Q: What should I do if my debit card gets lost or stolen?
A: Contact the bank immediately, at any of our four locations. If we are closed, call (800) 383-8000.

Q: Does the bank have my PIN number if I forget it?
A: No, the bank does not know your PIN.

Q: What happens if I forget my PIN?
A: Contact any one of our four locations and we will be able to get you a different PIN of your choosing. You may be asked to stop in to pick up the information for security purposes.

Q: Can I use my Philo Exchange Bank debit card to reserve a hotel room or plane tickets?
A: You can, however, it is not recommended. If you use your debit card to hold a room, be advised that the amount you have authorized will decrease your daily totals available.

Q: Does my debit card have limits?
A: Yes, you have daily limits of $200 in cash, and $300 in purchases. If you do not get cash on your card then you may spend up to $500 in purchases each day.
